BIG WALL CLIMBING
Many tourists were captivated by the sight of the majestic mountains, but not everyone dares to venture up. If you are looking for the ultimate climbing adventure, there are many climbing routes for young and old, beginners and the more experienced, in Setesdal
Løefjellet is the climbing peak in Setesdal.
The highlight - Løefjell in Brokke! This is one of the few real climbing mountains in Setesdal. The "Sørveggen" is one of the most impressive steep rock walls in Norway! Down below, it starts gently from the edge of the forest, and then it gets steeper over the shelf and very steeply towards the top where you meet blueberry heather. The mountain is perfect, with many quartz veins!
The wall is divided into:
H1: Løefjell West-
H1:1- School - surprisingly good routes and not just gentle climbing. Large structures in granite and many varied routes. A total of 25 routes.
H1:2- Brokkestølen - the first rope length with gentle climbing in sector 8, Sunny Times is first-class. Incredibly good climbing with slightly higher requirements than in the neighboring sectors. A total of 17 routes
H1:3- Soccer- this sector is to the right of H1.2 Brokkestøylen. Lighter routes (25), very well suited for beginners and children.
H1:4: Goldgraber starts to the right for H1:3, route 17 "Fjørtoft", absolutely fantastic routes. 4 squares.
H2: Bigwall-
H- Bigwall: this is the actual Bigwall area in Løefjell and is difficult to overlook! A total of 10 routes, including "East of easy",
H2.1- Big Wall Sport- a new sector within H2 with great routes on quartz veins and perfect mountains. A total of 14 routes.
H3: Plaisir
H3: Plaisir sectors in the southeast part of Løefjell, the most popular climbing routes in Setesdal. The wall is smooth and steep, many of the best "plasir" routes. In the right part, you will find routes with 8 rope lengths. The foot of the wall is almost flat, there are many very well-bolted children's routes that the parents also appreciate climbing in…
H 3:1- Birthday- 5 routes that challenge all climbing skills.
H 3:2- Book- 13 exciting, demanding and varied routes.
H 3:3 Color- This sector is dominated by a large slab at a height of about 100 metres.- 8 squares.
H 3:4 Paradise contains one of the best single length 6 routes in Setesdal (Rockwaves). A total of 11 routes.
H 3.5 Fix- 11 routes
H 3:6 Picnic- 13 ruter
H 3:7 Star- from good routes for beginners (Come back) to super climbing straight up the quartz vein (Sport), a total of 9 routes.
H 3: 8 Kaiser- are routes located in an area where there was a large landslide in 2003/2004. None of the bolts have been destroyed, but we encourage you to exercise great care. There may be loose stones, especially above route 11 Muffel. A total of 12 routes.
H 3: 9 Bison is brown and therefore this part has been given this name. The climbing routes here are well bolted longer routes, routes for children and beginners who want to develop. A total of 12 routes.
H 3:10 Open- this sector contains all routes to the right and starts above the forest at H3:9 11 Potion.Total 4 routes.
